CRAVE Austin – Best Patio in Downtown Austin?
There’s a newish restaurant open in the convention center of downtown Austin. It’s called CRAVE Austin, part of a larger national chain. Predictably, the food is tasty and the atmosphere is nice, if a tad corporate feeling.
And here’s some pictures of the yummy food!
However, there are a couple of unique things about this spot – first thing being this great secret “private room” they have. Essentially, it’s just a larger table, but it has a curtain that can be pulled around so that you have privacy. Great for romantic dates of just a fun girl’s night out!
Second thing is their patio. I may have to rank this patio in the top 5 of downtown Austin overall (feel free to name your fave patio in downtown in the comments) – definitely the best in the Convention Center district. The main thing is that it’s well spaced out (you don’t feel like you are on top of the table next to you) and overall it just feels nice. You don’t get direct sun in the space for most of the day, just a nice, indirect natural light.
The space is also really well suited for private and corporate rentals. There are 2 private rooms which can be completely shut off from the public dining room – one smaller, one larger. The restaurant has done several full buyouts for wedding receptions as well.
CRAVE Austin is an easy walk from several downtown buildings, including The Railyards, Four Seasons Residences, Avenue Lofts, and The Sabine.
